History

The first football stadium in Russia, built to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The center of attraction for grand events and events of an international scale - the Universiade 2013, the World Aquatics Championship in 2015, the Confederations Cup in 2017 and the FIFA World Cup in 2018, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 45th World championship in professional skills according to WorldSkills 2019 standards.

The uniqueness of the stadium as a construction site is provided by the spans of the girder with a length of more than 120 meters and the translucent roof consoles, which rests on only 8 anchor points. Due to this solution, the structure looks airy, without losing reliability. The unique roof of the stadium has more metal structures than the roof of London Wembley. Their total weight is 12 thousand tons.
